Occupational Safety and Health Professionals Nepal

Welcome to Occupational Safety and Health Professionals Nepal (OSHPN), a legally registered non-profit organization that provides a platform for learning, sharing, and networking for individuals and organizations interested in the field of Occupational Health and Safety. OSHPN was initiated from a WhatsApp group and has grown into a common platform for national and international stakeholders, following the 3P (Public, Private Partnership) approach.
OSHPN aims to bridge the gap between the government, employers, employees, and academia by using practical approaches and sustainable models. It provides a peer learning network for individuals and organizations, supports each other in managerial agendas, and explores ideas for organizational and human capital development.
Our multidisciplinary team with diverse expertise in OHS is engaged under the umbrella of OSHPN. We have more than 320 professionals who have already joined and shown their involvement in various events and activities conducted under the banner of OSHPN. Our participants include OSH practitioners and academics from various sectors such as manufacturing, hospitality, academics, insurance, trading, banking, IT services, and personalities who have directly participated from the field of OSH in Nepal. If you are interested in developing a career in the field of OSH, we welcome you to join OSHPN. It is a common platform for all, and we encourage you to participate in our events and activities to learn, share, and network with like-minded professionals. Together, we can make a difference in promoting occupational safety and health for the individuals and the society at large.

Our members are self-initiated, dedicated, and highly disciplined professionals who strive to promote a culture of safety, health, and well-being in Nepal. Through collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning, we aim to create a sustainable and thriving society that prioritizes the well-being of all workers.

OSHPN envisions a future where every individual, workplace, and community prioritizes and embraces the highest standards of occupational safety and health, leading to a sustainable and thriving society.

Core Objectives

  • To foster a community of professionals who share ideas, opinions, knowledge, skills, and experiences to strengthen Human Capital Management Practices in the era of the 21st Century in Nepal.
  • To facilitate healthy discussions, fact-sharing, and professional development among OSH practitioners and academics in Nepal.
  • To establish OSHPN as a major national stakeholder for Occupational Safety and Health Management in Nepal, representing the interests of professionals, organizations, and stakeholders in the field.
  • To identify and address the gap between industry and academia in Nepal through a global perspective, promoting the adoption of international standards and best practices in occupational safety and health.
  • To work together with professionals, organizations, and stakeholders in Nepal for the betterment of society through Occupational Safety and Health Management, promoting a culture of safety, health, and well-being for all workers.
  • To serve as a research and knowledge partner between industry, academia, and similar stakeholders, promoting evidence-based practices and continuous improvement in the field of occupational safety and health in Nepal.
  • To provide a continuous learning and sharing platform to the upcoming generation of OSH practitioners in Nepal, fostering a community of professionals who are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and values to drive positive change in the field.
